Whether it's a mobility scooter or a powerchair our range of batteries from Haze and Strident cover all the different AGM or Gel battery sizes used in the industry.

 

Haze's EX range offers increased Amp Hour (AH) within a standard size battery casing; for example a 18ah EX battery is the same dimensions of a standard 18ah battery casing but offers 26ah of power! This is great for the user who wants more range from their mobility equipment but there isn't the room for bigger batteries.

AGM or Gel?

The main factor to determine whether you require AGM or Gel batteries is usage. If you use your mobility device on short journeys or mainly in the warmer months then AGM is the battery of choice for you. AGM is a specific type of lead-acid battery where the electrolyte is held within a glass matt surrounding the lead plates, Gel however uses gelled electrolyte. The electrolytes move slower within the battery, meaning the battery has a longer cycle of life. To achieve the longer life cycle the gel battery requires regular use and recharging (or cycling).
